The Spanish-to-English translations were better than I expected — not perfect every single time, but clear enough that I could understand the important details, like whether people liked the service, the portions, or the wait time.

It really helped me choose restaurants and a couple of tours without feeling like I was guessing. A few little phrases sounded slightly awkward here and there, almost like a direct translation, but nothing that actually confused me. For something built into the app and free to use, I was happy with it.

I use tripadvisor mostly for the forums, i find them more helpful than just scrolling through random travel blogs. You get answers from real people, sometimes even locals, with tips on transportation, areas to skip, and little things you might not think to check. Compared to planning trips completely on my own, it’s definitely saved me a few headaches. That said, some replies can be outdated or people don’t always agree, so I still double-check important details. Overall though, it’s been a really useful tool for planning smoother trips.

I ended up giving 5 stars because the traveler photos made a big difference for me.
